About Us
Cali Surf School is locally based at the heart of Southern California. Cali Surf School recently partnered with The Park Santa Monica to provide exclusive access to surf school resources for The Park residents and associates. Our modo is “Education for the Soul.” We have grown into a movement helping individuals, regardless of age, connect with the ocean on an immersive level. We strive to build confidence in each student to bring out the inner surfer that lives in all of us. Our local instructors tailor each lesson to meet our students needs and goals. Instrucotors use their skill sets to focus on ocean education, safety, surf etiquette, and most importantly, having fun to make it a truly unforgettable Cali Surf School experience.
Alex Salazar
-Founder-
Alex has immense knowledge of the ocean and a strong surf background. With both his lifeguard and dive master certifications, he shares his wealth of knowledge with every Cali Surf School student. He believes that everyone has what it takes to become a surfer and it is his promise to help guide you there.
Houtan Sarraf
-Founder-
Houtan is a true waterman with a background as a professional lifeguard, both ocean and pool. He has extensive knowledge in swim and competition coaching. His “can do” attitude helps ease new surfers as they take their first step into the ocean. He will have you surfing and smiling in no time!
